Kathy Adams Clark has been a professional nature photographer since 1995.  Her photos have been published in hundreds of places including Family Fun, Nature’s Best, New York Times, Birder’s World, and Ranger Rick. Magazines including AAA JourneyTexas Parks & Wildlife andTexas Highways have used Kathy’s photos on their covers. Her photos have also appeared in books including Portrait of Houston (2012, Farcountry Press) and Photographing Big Bend National Park (2013, Texas A&M University Press), which she also wrote. Many calendars feature her photographs, including the Barnes & Noble Ireland Countryside Calendar, the Arbor Foundation Rainforest Calendar, and the Sierra Engagement Calendar. Costco offers a calendar comprised of Kathy’s photos of Houston.

She teaches a series of photography classes in the Houston metropolitan area and is a popular speaker at local and national events. Since 2001, she’s worked with Strabo Tours to lead photo tours to countries including Costa Rica, Spain, Tanzania, Italy, Peru, Morocco, and Bhutan.

Kathy frequently collaborates with her husband Gary Clark. Her photos appear every week in the Houston Chronicle’s “Nature” column written by Gary, and they’ve worked with national publishing houses to produce ten books together, including Book of Texas Birds (Texas A&M University Press) and Backroads of Texas (Voyageur Press).

Kathy is Past-President of the North American Nature Photography Association. She was honored to be named a Fellow in 2017.

Kathy leads The Workshop and Photo Tour Industry: Update and Future at 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019. This Super Session is available as an add-on to your regular Summit registration.

She also co-leads, with Richard Day and Sean Fitzgerald, the Vegas Lights Night Walk, an optional add-on workshop taking place after the official close of the Summit on Sunday, February 24, 5:00 – 7:30 pm.
